Spring Cleaning

Having recently cleaned out my closet (three bag-fulls of clothes are now waiting to be donated to Goodwill), I have been searching for some spring 2011 essentials to fill the empty space between the hangers. With the assistance of lookbook, I have pinpointed the trends I hope to adapt as the weather becomes increasingly sunny and warm. Enjoy the spring weather!

Lately, I've been taking comfort in my bed far too frequently than I should be; and the play-list below consists of some of the songs that perfectly accompany such lack-of-action. These lingering days of winter, consisting of slushy weather and constantly bitter cold temperatures despite the every-so-often and teasing appearance of the sun, don't help revitalize my motivation nor energy. I can only stay optimistic for an early Spring (which is doubtful due to the fact that my yard remains fully coated with snow*) and make the best of winter as the season ceases to change.

The Final List: 2011 Resolutions

resolutions in pictures

As expected, my list of resolutions consists of many components that have been adopted from previous lists, but accompanied by a few new ideas (such as "Get Crafty" and "Pursue Your Identity".) This year, I decided to frame my list and place it on my desk so it constantly reminds me what simplistic ways of life to focus on as the year progresses in order to maintain happiness (see below).

What's on your list?

Six Things to Savor

Photobucket

Although my list of resolutions for the New Year remains a work in progress, there is one blog related resolution I feel very optimistic and excited about: an every-so-often "Six Things to Savor" post consisting of a random selection of six things (either fashion related, art related, design related, etc...) that may spark humor, interest, food for thought, inspiration and so forth. See the first six things below!

1. Unique and celebratory art work in honor of the New Year.

2. This seemingly sweet but melancholy movie which is currently on the top of my "must-see" list.

3. A few dreamy fairytale destinations. Have already fallen in love with Colmar, France!

4. Glitter wallets that serve as a reminder that glitz doesn't need to fade post December 29th... (I prefer bronze.)

5. Yet another online cure for boredom (but this one comes with sound.)

6. A quirky (but unique) calendar for 2011.

Enjoy!
